So I’m thinking about going to Paris for New Year’s . . .
Travel there:
- Loughborough to Reading – mapquest, 113 miles, 3 hours
- Reading to Folkestone – mapquest, 110 miles, 2 hours
- Calais to Paris – mapquest, 180 miles, 3 hours
- Paris to Torcy – mapquest, 17 miles, 30 minutes
Cost:
- Total Distance: 2 * ( 113 + 110 + 180 + 17 ) = 840 miles
- Petrol cost per person (assuming 4 per car) = 840 / 4 * 0.20p = £42 per person
- Chunnel: £49 — eurotunnel.com
Weather:
- Looks like showers in Paris

It’s off… tragic isn’t it. Too much money, too much travelling, not enough time.
But it’s just a postponement because I will be going soon!
