“Sion” is French for “Zion”. It’s also a town that I lived in for four months during my mission.
One day during a slightly discouraging period for the District, Sister Perry gave a spiritual thought which I still remember. She reminded us that the Lord who had made the mountains around Sion was the same Lord that would give us strength and help in our work.

My daughter is serving in the Toulouse mission… she is in love with the entire experience. In which mission did you serve?

I was in the Switzerland Geneva mission. Althouh the HQ is in Geneva, most of the mission is in France. I spent several months in Lyon, and really enjoyed that.
What kind of things does your daughter say about France then?

Wow, my uncle Steve (practically a brother) served in the same mission, back in the day. Interesting.
